PTFE fabric Premium Series, super smooth and easy release sheet!

PTFE Fabric Premium Series, high quality, easy release, super smooth surface

PTFE Fabric(release sheet) is also named as PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, the basic fabric is high quality E-Glass fiber, and coated with high quality PTFE content, result in a better smooth, easy release and Non stick surface.

PTFE coated Fabric Premium Series

High quality PTFE coating ensures PTFE Fabric has non stick (easy release) surface to almost all the chemicals, and heat resistant (continuous working under 260 degrees, maximum 327 degrees), high tensile strength as PTFE combined with fiberglass tightly, and E-glass has mechanical property, so Teflon fabric is widely used in many different application which need high performance PTFE Fabric.

Taixing Youngsun’s premium series PTFE coated Fabric, is unlike normal PTFE Coated Glass Fabrics.

Premium series PTFE glass fabric has smooth, high-gloss surface coating, which has great release, higher dielectric strength, and chemical-resistant characteristics.

This premium series are specially designed to meet most demanding applications such as laminate-release sheets, food conveyor belts, electrical insulation and industrial processing.

Properties of PTFE Fabric

Non-stick surface, easy to release and clean

Application of PTFE Fabric Premium Series

Applications of Teflon coated fiberglass fabric includes release sheet for heat press machine, solar cell laminating, belting for food or paper industry, Non stick baking liner or oven liner, electrical insulation and industrial processing.

PTFE fabric Premier series is PFOA free, can touch food directly, is FDA & LFGB certificated.

High quality PTFE fabric can also be coated with Silicone pressure adhesive or Acrylic adhesive, making into heat resistant PTFE adhesive tape.

A Guide to Production Process For PTFE Coated Fiberglass Fabric

PTFE coated fiberglass fabric has excellent weather resistance, corrosion resistance, non-stickiness and high temperature resistance. The production process for it involves several steps, each of which plays a crucial role in achieving the desired product properties.

The process of coating fiberglass fabric with PTFE dispersion includes sending the fabric to the trench containing the PTFE dispersion through the unwinding machine, passing through the dispersion at a certain speed, and the wet PTFE coating prepared according to the formula is covered on the fiberglass fabric with a certain thickness with its viscosity, and after drying and sintering, it becomes a product after winding, commonly known as PTFE paint fabric. Usually, to achieve the desired coating thickness, the overlay operation needs to be repeated several times. At this point, the impregnated fabric is rolled several times to press the broken fibers into a soft PTFE dispersion coating, and then sintered after each subsequent recoat.

The fiberglass fabric is pre-treated before PTFE coating. Fabric are woven from fiberglass, which are coated with a lubricating finishing agent during the weaving process to avoid clumping up due to abrasions. The finishing agent decomposes and chars during sintering, leaving behind a pale yellow-brown color. This color can be removed by chemical treatment or heating.

The surface of the fabric is smooth and porous. It does not ionize in water and does not absorb PFE dispersions. Only a small amount of dispersion can be brought up at a time, and if a smooth coating surface is required, it must be repeated several times (up to more than 10 times).

The coating equipment of fiberglass fabric mainly includes: dipping paint tank, drying and sintering furnace (tower), rolling roller and winding roller, etc. The tank is equipped with a water jacket to keep the dispersion temperature at 20~25°C, and is designed to minimize the part exposed to air to reduce the change in PTFE concentration caused by water volatilization of the dispersion. The drying and sintering furnace consists of 3 stages: drying section, baking section and sintering section, with temperatures of 70~80°C, 280~290°C and 400°C respectively. Entering the sintering section, the powdered PTFE particles melt, the interface disappears and the fusion becomes a PTFE film with good adhesion to the fabric substrate, if the baked fabric is tightly rolled by two pressure rollers and then sintered, the obtained PTFE can be evenly distributed in the fabric, which not only increases the bonding strength, but also makes the surface of the PTFE paint fabric smoother and cleaner, and the dielectric properties are better. The number of dip coatings required is determined by the final coating thickness and quality requirements, the type of fiberglass used, the dispersion coating formulation, etc.

PTFE coated fiberglass is widely used for anti-stick materials, especially when the working conditions are above 150°C, such as the anti-stick bottom pad when used as a molten heat sealing polyethylene film. Wide PTFE fiberglass fabric is widely used in the ceiling of outdoor buildings and the roof of large stadiums and other public places, which not only has a certain lighting, is very lightweight, but also has good weather resistance, and can also have self-cleaning performance under rain and wind.
